“Thank you very much! This is an awesome place to work and study.”

— Casey G.  – Kendall College Study Abroad Sculpture Program Participant May 2007.

This was a great experience! The location of the studio is perfect-walking distance to everything. I also feel I got a good sense of everyday life by living in a neighborhood instead of a hotel. My room was very spacious with a wonderful cross breeze and the tile bath is especiallyattractive. The rooftop and pool are my favorite spots.  I loved reading or eating breakfast and looking out over the ocean. My room also had a great ocean view.  And then there’s the food! Alicia’s cooking is spectacular! I loved having “authentic” home cooking.  I’m glad there was so much walking to or I’d have gained 10 lbs. Thanks so much to Alexandra, Manuel, Martin and Alicia for all your hospitality.  Its been an unforgettable experience.”

This being my first trip out of the country, I would have to say that the experience will last my lifespan. Great atmosphere and wonderful caretakers with Martin’s knowledge of the stones and Alicia’s very delicious cooking.  Casa Alexandra will have a place in my heart forever.”

“Great experience! This is a very inspirational studio to work in.  Just the feeling you get as you work the stone is an experience all in itself.  Martin and Alexandra were very gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome.  Martin’s expertise was beyond anything that we expected.  Just watching him work was very much a terrific treat.  Our overall experience here was wonderful.  Thank you for letting us share space with you. We look forward to returning soon.”
